The LG Nortel 7016 telephone has 16 programmable buttons as seen down the right hand side of the picture - hence the name 7016. These buttons can be for:

• Seeing up to 16 staff and who is on the phone
• Extra one touch speed dials
• Which phone lines are in use
• Paging
• Door release and more

The benefit of the LG 7016 phone is that every tailored function on the 16 buttons becomes one touch. For example, if you want to transfer a call, you look at the light next to the persons name on the console and see if they are on the phone. If not, you simply hit the appropriate button, hang up, and the call is transferred. Or don't hang up and you can have the call announced.

Do all staff need LG Nortel 7016 handsets?

NO. The LG 7016 telephone is great for the receptionist, executives or anyone else that likes to have the 16 buttons for visibility. In most small business setups only one or two of these are required while the balance of the staff receive the cheaper LG 7008 phone. Handsets are the biggest cost component of a phone system so this is where you keep your costs to a minimum.

Do I need a conference phone if I have a LG Aria 7016 handset?

The hands free quality is excellent and most business won't ever need a purpose made conference phone. We suggest you first try the standard Aria 7016 hands free and only get a conference phone if you genuinely feel the need (or if you have larger conferences with more than 4 people).
