The LG Nortel Aria 7008 telephone has 8 programmable buttons as seen down the right hand side of the picture - hence the name 7008. These buttons can be for:

• Seeing up to 8 staff and who is on the phone
• Extra one touch speed dials
• Which phone lines are in use
• Paging
• Voicemail retrieval
• Door release and more

Like the other LG Aria 7000 series handsets the benefit of the Aria 7008 phone is that every tailored function on the 8 buttons becomes one touch. For example, if you want to transfer a call, you look at the light next to the persons name on the console and see if they are on the phone. If not, you simply hit the appropriate button, hang up, and the call is transferred. Or don't hang up and you can have the call announced.

Should all staff have LG 7008 handsets?

In a typical small business phone system the answer is yes. LG Nortel 7008 telephones keep your costs to a bare minimum and most companies only look at the LG 7016 and LG 7024 handsets if they:

• have more than 8 staff
• Don't have a dedicated receptionist and more than 6 staff and voicemail.
• Like more programmable buttons
• want management to have the executive model for difference

Otherwise you only need one of the more advanced handsets (7024 or 7016) for your reception point.

Do I need a conference phone if I have a LG 7008 telephone?

The hands free quality on the LG Nortel 7008 phone is excellent and most business won't need a purpose made Polycom conference phone. We suggest you first try the standard 7008 hands free and only get a Polycom conference phone if you genuinely feel the need (or if you have larger conferences with more than 4 people).
